Texas has scheduled a meeting and a webcast for the public regarding its new rules pertaining to hemp and hemp-derived products on January 9th:

Recall that in early October, the state adopted emergency rules to prohibit Consumable Hemp Licensees and Retail Hemp Registrants from selling consumable hemp products to customers under the age of 21 and require a valid proof of government-issued identification prior to purchase. This was after the surprise and last-minute veto by Governor Abbott on September 10th.

While I like what Texas is doing, the federal government passed a law that will make almost all THC products from hemp illegal. There has been no progress on getting this federal law overturned, and the clock is ticking.
